Interview Extra

Job seekers are making a good interview impression using a strategic document called a leave-behind.

What is it?

A leave behind can be a resume addendum, a bio, a page of recommendations, a design portfolio, work samples, or other tangible documents that highlight abilities and skills as they align with a job. Pulling together a leave-behind document helps you prepare for an interview while showing the interview team you prepared for the meeting.

How’s it used?

A leave-behind document is revealed at the end of an interview, and the tangible document is shared with the interview team/hiring manager. Be sure to include your résumé with the leave-behind document so the information is easily identified as yours.
